The usage of balustrades as roof edge protection has increased dramatically as a result of the implementation of the hierarchy of controls outlined in the working at height regulations of 2005 and the increased demand for general access to roofs and terraces.

This has raised the demand for visually appealing balustrades, which are generally used indoors, to be employed in rooftop applications.

Sabco

Eurosafe is an official supplier of the Platinum Sabco proprietary proven structural glass balustrade system, which provides beautiful and functional collective protection to public terraces, roof areas, and residential balconies both externally and internally.

Sabco has been tested in accordance with several international and European regulations, including BS 6180.

The system comprises a hollow tube made of high-density graded extruded aluminium in either a natural anodized surface or an Inox effect.

The channel contains clamping elements and a gasket to fit different types of glass, and it can be used for base-fixed and side-fixed applications with the right substrate and fixings.

Eurosafe offers a range of handrail products, both fixed and freestanding, to provide collective roof edge protection to a majority of roof types in aluminium and steel for new build construction, refurbishment projects, and retrofit to existing buildings.
