Renewals Account Manager

Job Description

An exciting vacancy has arisen in our Inspection and Maintenance division which play a vital role in keeping individuals safe. We do this by ensuring the equipment remains compliant with relevant standards and fit for purpose. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering great customer service, have investigation skills, tenacity, and the ability to bring value to all stakeholders.

Your role (Internal Retentions Account Manager) will be to manage an existing portfolio of clients' properties to ensure that they remain compliant, and the renewal of their contract is ultimately undertaken. This will involve making regular contact throughout the year using our bespoke customer relationship management software (CRM) to secure and process orders for the works we provide, record your interactions, outcomes, and update the clients’ details and information. We aim to retain 90% of our client database each year by providing a first-class customer service experience to our customers.

You will be responsible for reviewing reports from our engineer's visit to check for additional items found, and potential missing items required, through to discussing other services we provide that could bring further value to them and our business. You will be responsible for providing support to your customers on working at height matters, and lightning protection amongst other elements.

From time to time, you might be required to help assist our finance team in resolving any long outstanding debt. This would be done by speaking with your contacts to try find a reason on why this has not been settled and how it could be resolved, without being escalated. Meetings with clients can be required on an ad-hoc basis and could be a mixture of site-based or virtual. You would be working towards set targets, both individual and team-based.

Ideally, the right candidate will have previous customer service/sales experience, a good understanding of general health & safety, a strong work ethic, confident on the phone, a personable manner, and a fantastic attention to detail. Full training will be given to enable you to be successful in this position.

Upon appointment, you will be entered into our departmental bonus scheme which is based upon the department growth performance and is paid around July time for those still with the business.

Accountabilities and Main Duties

Using a database of information, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing clients’ contracts prior to contacting then via various methods

  • Contacting clients to secure purchase orders for the renewal of their contract and establishing

  • further opportunities.

  • Accurately inputting the information gathered into an in-house software system

  • Quoting and progressing these as relevant until won using a variety of structured sales techniques

  • Working towards achieving both personal and team-based targets

  • Responding to customer enquiries and queries in a timely manner

  • Carrying out surveys and client meeting as and when required

  • Ensuring workflows are kept up to date

  • Data inputting / General Admin such as updating supplier portals and our ERP system

  • Answering Inbound telephone calls & Making Outgoing telephone calls

  • Attending training courses to develop relevant knowledge and skills

  • Maintaining knowledge in relevant field
