Advanced Rooftop Safety (ART02)
This practical Advanced Rooftop Safety Training course is designed for individuals who already have a basic understanding of rooftop safety and need to develop more advanced skills for working safely at height.
The course builds on basic rooftop safety training, providing hands-on instruction in work restraint, fall arrest and work positioning techniques. Delegates will learn how to select, inspect and correctly use specialist work at height equipment, including work positioning harnesses, ropes, anchor points, Petzl Grillon devices, inertia reels, Rockers and twin fall arrest lanyards.
Practical exercises cover work positioning on inclined and vertical surfaces, ladder climbing using twin fall arrest lanyards, rope and equipment pre-use checks, and essential knots including the figure of eight, double figure of eight, alpine butterfly and double fisherman’s knot.
Delegates will have the opportunity to put these techniques into practice in a controlled training environment before completing a practical assessment.
