MSA Latchways Sealed Self Retractable Lanyard (SRL) (Type 2)
The Latchways Sealed Self-Retracting Lifeline range offers a dependable means of fall protection and has been specifically designed for use in harsh environments such as oil rigs, wind turbines and other offshore applications. The type 2 SRL is typically found on the transfer section of an offshore turbine to allow for tidal swell. It is a fall arrest block where the user can work completely free. It features a frictionless Constant Force braking system with which it absorbs the user. It can accommodate users weighing up to 140 kg.

The SRL’s shock-resistant housing is made of stainless steel and the components in the fall arrest block are also made of stainless steel. Thus, this ensures that it has a long life.
Furthermore, it features IP69K ingress protection and has a 100% Full Contact locking mechanism. The MSA Sealed SRL is also ATEX-rated.
