Eurosafe is a market leader in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of bespoke fall protection and access systems, with a network of offices spanning Northern Europe. On going growth in the UK involving a number of major projects has created a vacancy for a Senior Project Manager in the London and Southeast area.
Accountabilities and Main Duties
Due to Eurosafe securing a large contract in North-West London, we are looking to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor to see the project through, working closely with the Project Director to manage all commercial aspects of the works. This role will be based primarily on an active construction site, with hybrid working options available for discussion.
We are looking for either an established Senior QS or an Intermediate QS ready to step up into a senior role to progress their career and take on a new challenge.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the NEC3 contracts (Option A), including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, risk management, and change control.
Prepare, update and maintain project Activity Schedules in line with the project obligations
Assist in the development and updating of project programmes
Contribute to the adherence of project KPI requirements and ensure contractual compliance for the lifespan of the project
Develop detailed cost plans and budgets. Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial targets are met.
Liaise with all members of the project delivery team to ensure a successful project outcome
Prepare and agree on interim valuations and final accounts, including subcontractor payments, ensuring compliance with NEC3 protocols.
Identify and manage risks, working closely with project teams to mitigate potential issues.
Provide accurate financial reporting, including cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), project forecasts, and cash flow analysis
Act as a point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, contributing to the professional development of the team.
Provide periodic reports as required to the Project Director, Commercial Manager and Managing Director.
Attend site meetings as required to represent Eurosafe
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Demonstrable experience & understanding of NEC3 Option A contracts
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry (for either a main contractor or subcontractor)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels
Excellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail
Good work ethic and a determination to succeed
Preferred
Qualified with a relevant degree
MRICS or membership of relevant professional institute
Commercial experience on construction / building projects exceeding £5 million in value
Knowledge of the fall protection industry
Salary
£50,000-£70,000
